However, Rob Schmidt’s backwoods horror film does enough to separate it from the carbon copies with some decent acting, creepy characters, and several intense kills, and though it isn’t a great movie it is a head above so many lame, boring cannibal horror movies flooding the theatre these past dozen years. Found a lot of cool stuff, abandoned schools from the 1900s, some weird permanent campsites, all that. These creepy movies make the most of their deserted locales, finding ample horror in isolated cabins and forgotten towns. Stories may be fiction or non. What is backwoods horror?
