At the moment my current portfolio is about 65% US stocks and am trying to search for reliable foreign stocks for about 20-30% of my portfolio. All TD Ameritrade extended-hours orders expire at the close of business at 8 pm if they aren’t filled.

After-hours trading is more volatile and risky. The broker accepts orders from 7:00 am until 9:28 am, EST, two minutes shy of the market’s open, and from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm .
